Our Solan glass lantern pendant combines a powder-coated metal frame antique brass finish and clear glass for a refined and classic look. Its lantern style and clean lines make it an ideal choice for enhancing a hallway or entryway, offering both illumination and elegance. Crafted with recycled glass panels and a powder-coated metal frame, this pendant not only provides durable quality but also adds a touch of sophistication, embodying the perfect blend of style and sustainability.
How it's made
At nkuku we proudly use natural, reclaimed and recycled materials as we believe in celebrating the beauty of the natural world, reusing resources and minimising waste wherever we can. Our Solan Glass Lantern Pendant is no exception. The base is made from sheet metal, precisely cut to the specific design, then heated and hand-shaped to form the structure. Skilled makers then expertly weld the parts together before adding an antique brass finish to create a beautifully aged aesthetic. We use recycled glass to make the shade. Firstly, the waste glass is collected and washed to remove any impurities; it is then crushed and melted down before being mouth-blown into a mould to create the required shape.
