Delivery FAQs
Here are some of our frequently asked questions.
1. When will I know when my goods have been dispatched?
Courier Dispatches UK (DPD)
You will receive a confirmation email and text message with tracking details for all courier dispatches.
2. Do you deliver items separately?
No. If you have ordered multiple items, we will send these out to you in one delivery as soon as they all arrive at the Ombra Lighting warehouse. They have been quality checked. We dispatch completed orders unless unforeseen circumstances occur.
3. When can I expect to receive my order?
Lead times will be given when order is confirmed via email.
4. Can you deliver to a hotel or public space?
No, unfortunately not. Your goods must be delivered to a place of residence or business address only.
5. Can my order be left in the garden/porch/shed/bin?
No. All deliveries must be signed for unless you pre-arrange this with the courier at your own risk.
UK Mainland Deliveries
- Standard delivery by DPD - This is for small / medium non-fragile items.
*Items that are in excess of 85kg and/or require delivery to the 3rd floor or higher will include additional surcharges, orders that include multiple large items may also incur additional surcharges – for large orders or orders that require delivery to the 3rd floor or higher please contact our Customer Care Team over email or over the phone on 02031 486 864 who will be able to discuss this further with you.
Standard delivery by courier. Anything but standard.
This offers delivery right to your front door. If the destination is an apartment, flat or complex, the order will be delivered inside the entrance to the building. Our UK delivery partner is DPD Local for smaller orders. DPD Local will deliver between Monday and Friday and you can rest assured that your parcel is trackable at every stage. The typical delivery window is 24 hours from the day your items arrive at Ombra Lighting (on working days only). Please note that many of our products have lead times associated with them which can be clearly seen on the product page.
All items purchased that are in stock will be sent out to you within one to two working days. All orders placed after 2pm (GMT) for in-stock items will be processed the next working day. If you have ordered multiple items, we will send these out to you in one delivery as soon as they all arrive at the Ombra Lighting warehouse and they have been quality checked.
On-site installation is regrettably not available for lighting products. It does not include electrical fitting for lighting, drilling.
Please ensure you check and measure access to your property and make us aware of any possible difficulties in delivering your order prior to dispatch. For example, lift sizes, internal doors and tight spaces.
Things to consider include:
- Red routes and parking restrictions.
- Delivery access and size restrictions.
- Suitable access to the property.
- Restricted access to the property and time restrictions.
If a property is a new build or in an awkward location, please provide accurate directions prior to delivery.

Brexit update
Throughout the last few months, we have continued to process your orders as usual with minimal disruption, and the situation continues to improve.
Our shipping partners are still seeing hold-ups for both inbound and outbound deliveries in some cases, but these are now minimal. We continue to monitor this situation and we’re actively working as a team to ensure orders get to you as smoothly as possible.

Will my order be delayed?
Unfortunately, the production times seen on our products are not currently accurate in all cases. We are experiencing significant delays on standard lead times due to the combination of COVID-19 and Brexit. This varies hugely between brands and even individual products. We continue to monitor this situation and are working in collaboration with our suppliers to improve this.
We are also experiencing some disruption to delivery services from our delivery agents due to the current situation with both COVID-19 and Brexit. In some cases, these are more severe than others.
We continue to monitor this situation and we’re actively working as a team to ensure orders get to you as smoothly as possible.
Will there be any changes to returns?
