The David Trubridge Cloud Pendant Light – Large – White 1 Side (Inside) is a graceful fusion of nature-inspired design and sustainable craftsmanship. Originally launched as part of the 2008 Spiral Islands installation, the piece draws inspiration from the cloud formations seen above remote Pacific islands—used by Polynesian navigators as natural landmarks. Now reimagined with eco-conscious materials, this updated version is crafted almost entirely from bamboo plywood. Its elegant, layered construction allows light to pass through gently, recreating the soft glow of the original frosted plastic while minimizing environmental impact.
The “White 1 Side (Inside)” finish enhances the inner surface with a crisp white tone, amplifying the warm ambient light and adding visual depth to the organic form. Ideal as a statement piece in spacious interiors, the large Cloud Pendant appears to float overhead, creating a calming, sculptural presence.
